Research and production activities carried out by the university teaching staff in 2023 were associated with the consolidation of the subject matter of university science, more complete use of the university’s scientific potential, intensification of publishing activities, strengthening of the material base of research work, training of its own scientific personnel and the development of student research work .

The scientific activities of the university are accredited as a subject of scientific and scientific-technical activities (accreditation certificate No. 006314 dated November 6, 2020). The certificate is valid until November 6, 2025.

In light of the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Science”, the largest scientific research at the university was carried out on the following topics:

“Digitalization and robotization of small and medium-sized businesses”. The topic was registered in NCSTE 0123RKI0359 dated 23/10/2023). Scientific supervisor – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Baymukhamedov M.F. Implementation period: 09.2023 – 12.2024. Based on the research results, about 10 scientific articles have been published. To implement this scientific direction, the university has opened an IT Technology Laboratory, headed by Doctor of Technical Sciences Baymukhamedov M.F. The work plans include initiative topics, as well as economic contracts and government orders.

“Economy of modern Kazakhstan: problems and development prospects”. The topic is registered in NCSTE (No. 0121RKI0019 dated 16.02.2021). Scientific supervisor – Doctor of Economic Sciences Kabdullina G.K. Implementation period: 09.2020 – 09.2023. Based on the materials of this project, 6 textbooks have been published and more than 20 scientific articles have been published.

“Problems and prospects for the development of socio-economic transformations in the Republic of Kazakhstan”. The topic is registered in NCSTE (No. 0123RKI0365 dated 10/11/2023). Scientific supervisor – Candidate of Economic Sciences Baikadamov N.T. Implementation period: 11.2023 – 12.2025. More than 10 scientific articles have been published based on the materials of this project.

“Legal aspects of the provision of public services”. The topic is registered in NCSTE (No. 0123RKI0376 dated 17/11/2023). Scientific supervisor – Senior Lecturer Kaspaeva R.S. Implementation period: 01.2023 – 12.2025. More than 10 scientific articles have been published based on the materials of this project.

“The factuality of lifelong education for personal development”. The topic is registered in NCSTE (No. 0123RKI0402 dated 01.12.2023). Scientific supervisor – associate professor Alibekova N.M. Implementation period: 09.2023 – 12.2025 Based on the research results, a textbook and more than 20 articles were published.

“Problems of modernization of natural science education”. The topic is registered in NCSTE (No. 0123RKI03654 dated 06.11.2023). Scientific supervisor – associate professor Munarbaeva B.G. Implementation period: 09.2023 – 12.2025 Based on the research results, 7 textbooks and more than 20 articles were published.

The results of research on these topics will be implemented not only in production, but also in the educational process in the form of laboratory workshops, master’s theses, recommendations for completing coursework and theses, published teaching aids and scientific articles.

In 2023, the volume of printed products amounted to 457 p.s. Among the published works: 2 monographs with a volume of 11 p.s., 14 textbooks and teaching aids with a volume of 138.5 p.s., about 395 articles and abstracts of reports with a volume of 115 p.s. have been published. 15 types of educational and methodological documentation were published in the amount of 30 p.s., 4 issues of the journal “Bulletin of Science KSTU” were published with a total volume of 51.5 p.s., materials of the international scientific and practical conference (23 p.s.), materials of the interuniversity conference of students and graduates in two volumes (65 p.s.) and 4 issues of the international journal “Problems of Law and Economics” with a volume of 23.2 p.s.

During the year, work was carried out under the following economic agreements:

1. Ways to increase the income of enterprises providing services for leasing non-residential premises. Contract period – 12.2020 – 12.2023. Scientific supervisor – Ph.D. Mustafina A.S. Amount of financing – 600,000 tenge. Customer – “Kostanay Univer Plus LLP”. The topic is registered in NCSTE (No. 0121RKD0066 dated 13.04.2021).
2. Legal assistance in the specifics of concluding a real estate lease agreement between individuals and legal entities and the possible consequences of the execution of the agreement. Contract period – 09.2022 – 07.2024. Scientific supervisor – Associate Professor Dauketova Zh.B., Senior Lecturer Akanova G.K. The amount of financing is 1,000,000 tenge. Customer – “RSP Phoenix” LLP. The topic is registered in NCSTE (No. 0123RKD0068 dated 28.11.2023).

On December 5, 2023, the annual International Scientific and Practical Conference was held at the Students’ Palace of Culture “Industrial Development: Technologies for People and Services in the Era of Innovation”, dedicated to the memory of the founder of the university, academician Zulkharnay Aldamzhar.

Prominent scientists from Kazakhstan and abroad took part in the plenary session of the conference:

1. Kydyrbek Kiyskhan – is a graduate of Kostanay Social-Technical University named after academician Z. Aldamzhar, Master of Historical Sciences, journalist, laureate of international song competitions..

Topic of the report: Thoughts of academician Zulkharnay Aldamzhar on innovative education and innovative technologies for future youth.

2. Karakhanyan Susanna – Director of Higher Education Authority of Abu Dhabi , board member and ex-president of INQAAHE, PhD .

Topic of the report: Data-driven management of universities.

3. Kalanova Sh.M. – President of the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor.

Topic of the report: The impact of digitalization on higher education and quality assurance.

4. Kogamov M.Ch., Doctor of Law, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Natural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorary Lawyer of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Magsut Narikbayev University, Astana

Topic of the report: Effective criminal justice is a current segment of the legal system of a fair Kazakhstan.

5. Turetsky N.N., Chief Researcher at the Institute of Legislation and Legal Information of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Law.

Topic of the report: Artificial intelligence in the legislative process.

6. Shayakhmetov Sh.Sh. – Head of the International Relations Department of the Judicial Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Supreme Court), Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor.

Topic of the report: Reforms in the judicial system: trends and prospects.

7. Kondratyev N.I. – Head of the Training Center for Additional Professional Education of Chelyabinsk State University, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor.

Topic of the report: Features of the development of transnational corporations in the context of crisis phenomena in the global economy.

8. Kuzhagaliev A.U. – Professor of Kostanay Social-Technical University named after academician Z. Aldamzhar, PhD, professor.

Topic of the report: The Fourth Industrial Revolution: a vision of real problems, challenges and risks.

At the sectional sessions of the conference, reports were heard from teachers of the social, humanities and natural sciences, which addressed topical issues that contribute to increasing the scientific potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad.

A collection of 23.0 p.s. was published based on the conference materials.

During the year, as part of the methodological weeks of the departments at the university, 6 scientific and methodological seminars were held on current problems of higher education: education quality management, block-rating system of knowledge control, credit technology of education, etc. Teachers of the departments took an active part in the work of these seminars.

More than 30 scientists and teachers from our university took part in international and republican scientific conferences and seminars held at universities of the Republic during 2023.

In 2023, the university received one utility model for an invention and filed one application for an invention.

KSTU maintains fairly close creative ties with leading universities in the CIS and far abroad. Currently, there are 18 agreements on cooperation in the field of science.

In 2023, cooperation agreements were concluded with Gazi University (Turkey), Kyrgyz State University named after. I. Arabaev, Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagyn, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Tashkent State Economic University. Within the framework of cooperation agreements between these universities, teachers and students will participate in scientific conferences and seminars held at these universities.
