On 28.02.2024, in auditorium 501 of the Kostanay Social-Technical University named after academician Z. Aldamzhar, a lecture was held as part of the national program: “Prevention of Tuberculosis”, dedicated to the World Tuberculosis Day.

The main goal is to inform students about tuberculosis prevention.

During the event, an infectious disease doctor at the Municipal State Public Enterprise “Polyclinic No. 3”, I. A. Sokolova, spoke about the first signs of tuberculosis, its occurrence and spread. She covered the questions “Who is an asymptomatic carrier”, “How do cigarettes, vapes and hypothermia affect the bronchopulmonary system?” A video was also presented containing information about the role played by vaccination and timely fluorographic examination of the chest.

Students were given the opportunity to ask questions of interest, to which they received comprehensive answers. Information and educational material was distributed, and a group photo was taken for memory.
