As part of a cycle of professionally oriented work on February 16, 2023 teachers of the Department of Natural Sciences of the Kostanay Social-Technical University at the Students’ Palace of Culture held a meeting with students of the MPI “Secondary School No. 9 named after G. Kaiyrbekov of the Department of Education of Kostanay” of the Education Department of the Akimat.

The purpose of career guidance is to prepare students for a reasonable, mature choice of a profession that satisfies both personal interests and social needs, and market demands.

As part of career guidance, work was carried out following the developed program:

1) Tourism block. A small exhibition of tourist equipment was held. In the process, the participants got acquainted with the group and special tourist equipment, technical methods of preparing for hiking trips and competitions:

— how to organize a tourist bivouac;

– how to properly put on and block a belay system.

The greatest interest among students was caused by the fitting of special equipment.

2) Relay. A relay race with elements of tourism of 4-5 stages was held with the participants. The event was aimed at increasing interest in physical culture and sports tourism, fostering a sense of collectivism. Before the start of the sporting event, all teams lined up.

3) Block of national games. By holding competitions, they sought to attract students to outdoor games, to support the revival of interest in the ancient national sports game. The event was interesting and active.

At the end of the sporting event, the participants received a boost of energy and positivity and were also awarded diplomas.
