On April 26, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and Kostanay Social-Technical University signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by the rectors Andrey Rudskoy and Kadyrgali Jamanbalin. Universities will develop scientific and educational ties.
Kostanay Socisl-Technical University named after Academician Zulkharnay Aldamzhar was formed in 1998. It has 4,000 students in five departments – “Technical Sciences”, “Business and Management”, “Law”, “Humanities” and “Natural Sciences”. By the way, the rector of KSTU, professor, academician of the MAI Kadyrgali Jamanbalin is a graduate of the Polytechnic University. In 1990, he completed his postgraduate studies (semiconductor physics), and in 2017 he completed advanced training.
The agreement signed on Wednesday is for five years. A promising area of cooperation for our universities is the development of ties in the field of retraining and advanced training of personnel. And here are a few other key areas:
- development and implementation of joint educational programs;
- joint publication of research results;
- organization of exchange programs for scientists, teachers and students;
- holding joint conferences and symposiums.
Interuniversity relations between Russia and Kazakhstan are getting stronger every year. Polytechnic University cooperates with 17 universities of the neighboring state. Now almost 700 students from Kazakhstan study at SPbPU. Every year their number increases by 10 percent.
