On April 29, employees of the Department of Science, Commercialization of Scientific Projects and Academic Mobility took part in the republican forum “Commercialization of Science: Transforming Ideas into Business” for scientists, employees of commercialization centers of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and online business representatives, which was held at the Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov.

The event brought together leading experts, researchers and entrepreneurs to discuss the prospects and challenges associated with translating scientific discoveries into successful commercial enterprises in order to support and stimulate the growth of the innovation ecosystem in the Republic of Kazakhstan by sharing information, interacting with government agencies and finding new ways of cooperation.

Key objectives of the forum:
– creation of a platform for the exchange of best practices, successful cases and innovative approaches in the field of commercialization of scientific research;
– establishment of new partnerships and network connections between employees of commercialization offices of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, government bodies and innovation structures, such as Science Foundation JSC and QazInnovations JSC;
– discussion and formulation of recommendations for the further development of the strategy for commercialization of scientific developments in the context of national priorities and international trends;
– holding open discussions and panel discussions to identify and discuss current problems and challenges faced by employees of commercialization offices in their daily work, in order to find collective solutions and ways to implement them.
