Republican seminar “Anti-corruption compliance in the field of higher education”

On June 7, 2024 on the basis of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the Republican seminar “Anti-corruption compliance in the field of higher education” was held. The event was attended by compliance officers of universities, vice-rectors for social issues and heads of departments for youth policy of universities in Astana.

The meeting was moderated by Abylaikhan Akerke, Deputy Chairman of the CQASES of MSHE RK.
Shcheglova Dinara Rinatovna, Vice-Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, delivered a welcoming speech.

The speakers were:
Baidildin Zh.E., Deputy Head of the 1st Service of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant Colonel of the Anti-Corruption Service.
Topic: “The role of anti-corruption compliance in combating corruption”;

Kuramaev U.N., Head of the Prevention Department of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Anti-Corruption in Astana.
Topic: “Basic tools for preventing corruption”;

Nesipkaliev U.E., Deputy Director of the Department of Digitalization and Automation of Public Services of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Topic: “Digitalization as a tool of anti-corruption compliance in the field of higher education”;

Darbaev T. B., Head of the ACS non-profit JSC ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov.
Topic: “Problematic issues in the field of anti-corruption compliance in higher education and ways to solve them”;

Aypara A., expert in the field of anti-corruption compliance at Digital Compliance LLP.”
Topic: “Digital compliment assistant.”

Rysbekova Zh.K., vice-rector of the Kazakhstan National Women’s Pedagogical University, conducted training for compliance officers.

From our university, a teacher from the Department of Law, Abildinova K.M., took part in the seminar.
Participants discussed current compliance issues, received valuable recommendations from leading experts and shared their experiences and best practices.
