Research work of students
The university’s departments conduct student research in research clubs. Research results are published in the proceedings of student conferences. Students participate in subject-specific Olympiads and research competitions in accordance with their educational programs.
In April 2026, the Kostanay Social and Technical University named after Academician Z. Aldamzhar held an inter-university scientific and practical conference for students and graduate students, “Students – the vanguard of the intellectual future,” dedicated to Science Workers’ Day and the 185th anniversary of the birth of Ibrai Altynsarin.
On April 9, 2026, the following breakout sessions were held:
Section No. 1. “Integration of Pedagogy and Language Education in the Legacy of Ibrai Altynsarin.”
Section No. 2. “The relevance of I. Altynsarin’s ideas in modern science education.”
Section No. 3. “Socio-economic and managerial ideas in the legacy of Ibrai Altynsarin and their significance for modern development.”
Section No. 4. “Humanistic ideals in the works of Ibrai Altynsarin as an ethical basis for improving national legislation.
Section No. 5. “Modern models of technical education and artificial intelligence technologies”.
Following the sectional meetings, students were awarded diplomas of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree.
A collection of materials from the multi-university scientific and practical conference of students and graduate students, “Students – the vanguard of the intellectual future,” has been published in 18 pp.
Our university’s students annually participate in academic olympiads and competitions held in Kazakhstan and Russia. The table below provides information on the winners of these student olympiads and competitions.

The university’s departments hold scientific seminars for master’s students, where they present reports on the work completed by master’s students (research conducted on the topic of their dissertations, preparation of articles, and participation in scientific internships and international conferences).
In addition to conferences, the university organized the following throughout the year: Olympiads (in disciplines), round tables, debates, quizzes, and thematic meetings with teachers and employers.
