On October 8, 2025, an information and educational event on the topic “Mandatory Social Health Insurance” was held at the Kostanay Social and Technical University named after Academician Zulkarnay Aldamzhar.

Zh. T. Iskakova, a specialist from the Kostanay branch of the Social Medical Insurance Fund, explained to the students the principles of the OSMS (Obligatory Social Medical Insurance) system, their rights, and responsibilities. It was noted that full-time students are included in the preferential category of citizens for whom the state pays contributions to the system. The participants were informed that the insured status can be lost if the student stops studying or is expelled from the educational institution.

Zhainagul Tilepovna explained the procedure for paying contributions and deductions, as well as the refund of mistakenly transferred funds. The teachers noted that such events are necessary to help students better understand their rights in the field of medical insurance and to take advantage of the opportunities provided.
