On the 5th of December, 2025, the international scientific and practical conference «Artificial Intelligence and Challenges of the Modern World» was held, dedicated to the memory of the University’s founder, Academician Zulkharnay Aldamzhar. The event became a significant platform for discussing current trends in digital technologies and the role of artificial intelligence in transforming modern society.
The plenary session took place at the smart center IQostanay. The event was co-organized by the International Cultural and Communication Centre of Malaysia, emphasizing the international scale and scientific significance of the conference.
During the conference, participants discussed issues outlined in the Address to the Nation by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Experts examined the impact of AI on education, the economy, and the social sphere, as well as addressed problems related to ethics, digital security, and technological independence. Scholars and specialists from Kazakhstan and abroad participated in the conference.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Akimat of the Kostanay region and the town, heads of educational institutions and representatives of social partner enterprises: an automobile company «Allur» and LLP “KamLitKZ”.
The event also included the signing of memoranda of understanding between the Zulkharnay Aldamzhar Kostanay Social and Technical University, the Kostanay Social and Technical College, and several leading educational and cultural institutions in Malaysia. These memoranda were signed with the International Islamic University Malaysia, the Polytechnic University Malaysia, and the International Centre for Cultural Communications Malaysia. These agreements are aimed at developing academic cooperation, implementing joint projects, sharing scientific expertise, and strengthening intercultural interaction.
The conference became an important platform for the exchange of scientific ideas and practical experience. Speakers presented their research results, shared their vision for the development of AI technologies, and outlined promising areas for international collaboration.
The event strengthened the position of the Kostanay Social and Technical University named after Academician Zulkharnay Aldamzhar as a center of scientific communication and innovative initiatives, fostering dialogue between science, education, and industry.
