A regular meeting of the Regional Council for Science and Technology under the regional akimat was held in the Kostanay region, chaired by Deputy Akim of the region B.Kh. Narymbetov.

The meeting was attended by heads of sectoral departments, the Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs, representatives of industrial and agricultural enterprises, universities and scientific organizations, as well as the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Council’s main goal is to strengthen the interaction between science, industry, and government agencies in order to solve technological problems and increase the competitiveness of regional products.

The meeting reviewed the results of the Council’s work in 2025 and discussed scientific projects implemented at the Kostanay Regional University and the Rudnensky Industrial University.

It was noted that, in accordance with the President’s instructions, scientific projects should be focused on the real needs of the economy and the country’s strategic development goals.

Five priority areas for the development of science in the region have been identified:
▪ the agro-industrial complex
▪ sustainable environmental management
▪ processing of mineral raw materials and the secondary use of waste
▪ the development of intelligent systems in mechanical engineering
▪ information technologies and the digitalization of industry

The Regional Council will continue to work on developing practical proposals and fostering effective partnerships between science and industry.
