On November 23, 2023, a working meeting was held with representatives of higher and secondary specialized institutions of the Kostanay region on the basis of the State Institution “Department of Emergency Situations of the Kostanay Region of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. From our university, the vice-rector for educational work and public relations, N.T. Baikadamov, took part in the meeting.

The Emergency Situations Department plans to create an emergency rescue battalion on the territory of Kostanay. The structure of which is planned to include a production and technical platoon, the main tasks of which will be the production and installation of civil protection facilities (fire stations, forest fire stations, highway medical rescue centers, mobile buildings for employees’ accommodation, etc.).

Representatives of educational institutions were explained the rules for employment and military service in the units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, with the subsequent conclusion of a contract. The management of educational institutions was provided with a list of priority specialties with an engineering and technical inclination (gas-electric welders, electricians, installers, designers, finishers, CNC technicians, etc.).
