Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Public Relations Baykadаmov Nurken Turarovich expressed his opinion on the speech of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek. In his speech, the minister touched upon important social issues concerning the support of student youth.

Nurken Turarovich noted that the issues raised in the speech are of utmost importance for the development of the country’s educational system. He emphasized that solving the social problems of students, such as access to quality education and the creation of comfortable conditions for study and leisure, is crucial.

As part of the instructions of the Head of State, by 2029 it is planned to commission up to 10,000 dormitory places annually. By the end of 2024, 11,096 places in dormitories had already been commissioned in the country. In the cities of Astana and Almaty, where these problems are particularly acute, project front offices are operating, providing consulting services to students on ensuring dormitory accommodation.

He stated that the measures being taken by the state are very timely and important for solving these issues. And creating comfortable living conditions for students is a real step towards obtaining affordable and high-quality education.

In two student dormitories of Kostanay Social-Technical University named after academician Z. Aldamzhar, comfortable living conditions have been created in accordance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements.

The provision of students with dormitory accommodation for the 2024–2025 academic year is 100%.
