On January 28, 2026, a roundtable discussion was held at the Zulkarnay Aldamzhar Kostanay Social and Technical University on the topic “The 90th Anniversary of Olzhas Suleimenov, the 35th Anniversary of the Closure of the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site, and the Role of the Nevada-Semey Anti-Nuclear Movement.” The purpose of the roundtable discussion was to demonstrate and educate young people about the consequences of radiation exposure and the extensive environmental damage caused by the nuclear tests conducted at the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site in the 20th century.

The moderator was: Baikadamov Nurlan Turarovich, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Public Relations, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor.
