Seminar “Designing and Updating Educational Programs Based on the Atlas of New Professions”

Representatives from the Zulkharnay Aldamzhar Kostanay Social and Technical University participated in an open methodological seminar, “Designing and Updating Educational Programs Based on the Atlas of New Professions,” held at the Kostanay University of Engineering and Economics.
The event focused on improving higher and postgraduate education programs in light of current labor market requirements, the National Qualifications System, industry trends, and regional workforce needs.

During the seminar, participants learned about modern approaches to developing and updating educational programs based on data from the Atlas of New Professions and Competencies. Particular attention was paid to forecasting workforce needs, implementing micro-skills, developing interactions with employers, and increasing the flexibility of educational programs.

Representatives from the Center for Human Resources Development, the National Center for Higher Education Development of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the international agency ASIIN, as well as leaders and specialists from higher education institutions in the region, participated in the seminar. The practical portion of the event included group work on developing next-generation educational programs, defining learning objectives, and formulating educational outcomes based on promising professions and competencies of the future. Participation in this seminar allowed university representatives to exchange experiences with colleagues on current trends in higher education development and receive practical recommendations for improving educational programs in line with modern labor market requirements.
