On March 16, 2024, at the Kostanay Social-Technical University named after academician Z. Aldamzhar, the republican stage of the Altyn Tulek Mathematical Olympiad was held for students in grades 10-11 in the Kostanay region.
66 schoolchildren from 11 districts and 4 cities of our region competed in the Olympiad (42 children were 10th grade students, 24 children were 11th grade students).
The organizers of the Olympiad were the educational center “ZERDELI” and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Mathematical Olympiad “V Altyn Tulek” was held on the basis of 18 regional universities with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republican Scientific and Practical Center Daryn.
19 domestic universities awarded their grants to the winners of the Olympiad. In total, higher education institutions awarded 66 grants. The winners also received grants from Alanya Universitesi (4 grants) and Cyprus Science University (6 grants).

The goal of the Olympiad is to identify especially gifted children among schoolchildren, introduce them to science and awaken interest in pedagogical, engineering and technical specialties.
The Olympiad prepares students to analyze mathematical concepts, critical thinking, and solve complex problems.
