On August 26, 2026, Astana hosted the traditional republican August conference of educators on the theme “Norms and values of the new Constitution: human capital development — the strategic basis of the education system.”

The participants focused on the implementation of the values of the new Constitution in the education system, the development of human capital, the introduction of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, as well as improving the digital literacy of students.

The conference was attended by representatives of Kostanay Socio-Technical University named after Academician Zulkharnai Alzhamdar:

An expert discussion was held within the framework of the conference, bringing together representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the country’s leading universities, the education management system and the public sector.

The participants discussed key areas of modernization of teacher education: the creation of a modern ecosystem of teacher training, the development of evidence-based pedagogy, strengthening the link between scientific research and educational practice, as well as the development of cooperation between universities and schools.

The discussion was attended by Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of the Abai Kazakh National University Banu Narbekov, Head of the Astana City Education Department Kasymkhan Sengazyev, Vice-President of Nazarbayev University Gulmira Kanai, Director General of the Bolat Utemuratov Foundation Ainur Karbozova, member of the National Team of Experts on Higher Education Reform of the Republic of Kazakhstan (HERE) Gulzhan Jarasova.

Special attention was paid to the issues of inclusive education, mentoring, pedagogical practice and interaction of higher education institutions with schools and regions. The discussion showed that modern educational reforms require a systematic interaction of science, higher education, schools and public institutions.

The practical part of the section was held in the format of interactive work of the participants. As a result of the section’s work, a unified teacher training and support system was approved, covering professional orientation, selection, university education, teaching practice, assessment of professional readiness, employment, mentoring and further professional development.

The main principle of the new model is the joint responsibility of the state, pedagogical universities, educational departments, schools and other organizations involved in the training and support of teachers.

The participation of Kostanay Socio-Technical University named after Academician Zulkharnai Alzhamdar in the republican August conference was an important contribution to professional dialogue, exchange of experience and discussion of strategic guidelines for the development of domestic education.
